Who is The True Traveller?
The True Traveller is an independent travel company based in London, and is fully licenced by the Civil Aviation Authority under their ATOL scheme, and hold a TTA Licence, so every penny that is paid to us is 100% secure. -
How do I use this website?
There are various ways of finding the holiday you are looking for. The simplest way is to put some text into the “Quick Trip Search” on the left, for example “Amazon”, and then every tour which features “Amazon” will display. However, that could give you a lot of choice, so to cut things down use the “Trip Finder” and fill in as little or as much as you can, and then only those holidays will appear. -
But there’s still too much choice?
When you get to the overview page of a tour, click on the “add to wishlist+” button at the top of the tour, and this will add to a review page which is indicated under the large phone number at the top of the page. Up to 8 tours can be added to your wishlist. -
What are the price bands based on?
The price bands in the “by budget” are based on the “land only” price of a holiday. Some of the operators we deal with only have land only prices, whereas some also have flight inclusive prices. -
Can you book my flights as well?
Yes, and we will be able to source the best available flights for you as well at very keen prices. And, more importantly for you, once we put the package together for you all items of your holiday will be financially protected by our licences. -
Why should I book with you?
Put simply, choice, impartiality and security. There are over 2500 tours on here at the moment, and you can choose at your leisure the best tour for you. You could start to battle through the internet on a vast multitude of websites and collate a few kilos of brochures, but we believe that our search engine will allow you to choose exactly what you want. Also, some of the smaller operators we deal do not have the necessary consumer licences to ensure your money is safe, but as we have them all, booking with us is 100% secure. -
Can I phone instead?
Absolutely! Our Freephone number is shown at the top of this page, and one of our expert Sales Managers would be more than happy to assist you. If you need something different, like two tours together, some extra hotels or tailor-made arrangements, we can do this for you. -
Can you send me brochures?
We do hold a very small selection of brochures in our offices, but if we were to send you the brochures for Nepal, for example, if would consist of 8 brochures costing £7.18 in postage charges alone. And, there is not the level of information in the brochures which is shown on the website! -
Which companies do you deal with?
The main adventure tour operators we deal with are Absolute Africa, Contiki, Exodus, Explore, G Adventures, Imaginative Traveller, Intrepid, Top Deck, TravelTalk & TrekAmerica. We also deal with some smaller operators in Africa, Asia and Australasia. -
Do you advise me of Visas and Vaccinations?
Yes, as part of our service we will advise you of all Visa Requirements for your trip and how to get them sorted out, and we advise on recommended immunizations, though as we’re not medically trained, you should seek your Doctor’s advice as well! -
How can I pay?
You can pay over the telephone with your debit or credit card. Note, in common with most operators, we have to charge a 2% handling fee on credit card payments, as that is what the credit card companies charge us. There is no fee for using a debit card.
