Description:

A classic and challenging trek following the renowned Everest Base Camp expedition route. We trek high above the tree line and tackle an ascent of Kala Pattar (5545m) offering stunning views across the South Col and the summit of Mt Everest. We continue along the trail reaching Base Camp, the starting point for summit attempts.

Service Level: Comfort 2 - Simple local accommodation; typically hostels, pensions or teahouses which are clean and comfortable and usually have shares facilities. Alternatively it could be a campsite with showers and toilets, and a support crew to help out with camp chores.

Physical Grading: Active 5 - Treks and cycling trips with challenging physical activity most days.
