Vietnam Adventure Holidays
Vietnam (or Viet Nam) curves along the Indochina Peninsula, and is bordered by China, Laos and Cambodia. We all know about the Vietnam War, the Tet Offensive and the movie, Good Morning Vietnam, but now Vietnam has become a popular destination for adventure holidays, with good air links and an improving infrastructure.
History is a major part of tourism to Vietnam, with French Colonial architecture apparent in the main cities, and it still has a feeling of past times, but the economy is improving and the pace of life has sped up!
We feature a huge range of holidays to Vietnam, including many cycling holidays, trekking trips and overland journeys. In addition, Family Adventure Holidays are very popular, so for a different Asian experience you won’t be let down by Vietnam.
Some basic FAQ’s on Vietnam:
When to go? Vietnam is a year round destination, but two different areas can have monsoons or brilliant sunshine. Basically, it all hinges around the monsoon seasons; the winter monsoon in the north happens between November and March which brings cool wet weather to the north, but in the south it’s dry and warm. From May to October, the south-western monsoon brings warm humid weather to the whole country, and a lot of rain!
Do I need a Visa? British Passport Holders do need a Visa for Vietnam and are best arranged in advance.
Do I need Immunizations? For a short visit to Vietnam, it is recommended to get immunized against Diphtheria, Hepatitis A and Tetanus. There is also a limited risk of Malaria, so a course of anti-Malaria tablets is recommended also. Your Doctor will be able to provide more information.
